The 2005 Brunello di Montalcino is an attractive, plump offering effort with lovely generosity in its bright red fruit. Succulent cherries, dried flowers, spices and minerals are just some of the nuances that emerge from this pretty Brunello. I am impressed by the clarity, freshness and delineation of the fruit. Firm tannins are nicely balanced by round fruit on the finish. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2020.
Tenuta di Sesta is located in the southern part of Montalcino, between Castelnuovo dell’Abate and Sant’Angelo in Colle.
