Colombo's 1992s and 1993 are candidates for the most successful wines of the appellation. In 1992 there are two Cornas cuvees. The 1992 Cornas Les Ruchets is one of the best wines I tasted from Cornas. The wine possesses an attractive, spicy, toasty, cassis-scented nose, rich, earthy, concentrated flavors, medium to full body, adequate acidity, and a soft, opulent finish. This is undoubtedly a top-notch success for this year. It should drink well for at least a decade. Importer: Langdon-Shiverick, Chagrin Falls, OH; Tel. (216) 247-6868
