Tasted blind, the 2011 Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru put in a very creditable showing against Sauzet's three other grand crus. It has a linear and taut, mineral bouquet with that floral aspect emerging with time, though here I observed more "yellow" flowers than "white." The palate is fresh and vibrant with very good tension throughout, pretty and seeming to have gained some persistence on the finish since I tasted it in Beaune a couple of years ago. Yes, an elegant 2011 from Sauzet that appears to be improving with time in bottle. Tasted October 2016.
