Il Molino di Grace offers a steady and cheerful expression of Sangiovese that is a pure joy to drink. The 2016 Chianti Classico SoloSangiovese reveals varietal purity with pretty layers of red cherry, cassis and dried cranberry. Blue flowers and dried garden herb make subtle appearances at the back. This wine finishes with refreshing acidity. The vines are planted from 280 to 400 meters above sea level in Panzano in Chianti.

Cherry, black currant, violet, earth and mineral aromas and flavors abound in this expressive, elegant red. Shows ample structure, with the tannins exerting themselves on the finish, but this remains stylish and refined overall. Better than previously reviewed.
