The 1990 Gigondas (made from one-third Mourvedre and two-thirds Grenache) possesses a deep, dark ruby color, a big, spicy, leathery, black fruit-scented nose, sweet, fat, full-bodied flavors, firm structure, moderate tannin, and an excellent finish. It will benefit from 12 months of aging and has the potential to merit a 90 point score in 2-3 years. It will last for 12-15 years.
