A major improvement over the light, diluted 1992, Les Carmes-Haut-Brion's 1993 offers a medium dark ruby color, a spicy, earthy, berry-scented nose, soft, ripe flavors exhibiting fine concentration, medium body, and a round finish. As with many 1993 Graves, the tannin level is less severe than that found in many Medocs. I admired this wine's soft fruit and forward, precocious personality. Drink it over the next 5-7 years.
