Two samples of Dassault's 1993 exhibited the moldy cardboard aroma I have found in certain other Bordeaux wines. Multiple explanations have been offered for this problem, including badly cured barrels, the use of chlorine for cleaning in the winery (which vaporizes and contaminates the barrels), as well as bad corks and filter pads. Despite the musty cardboard-like nose, this commercial, light to medium-bodied, easy-going wine offers cranberry fruit behind the defective nose. Drink it over the next 4-5 years.
