From vineyards decimated by frost and consequently blended together, namely Cent Vignes, Teurons, Tuvillans and Les Grèves, the 2016 Beaune 1er Cru has a winsome redcurrant, Morello cherry and blackcurrant bouquet that leaps sprightly from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, crisp red fruit, light and breezy with light black pepper on the easygoing, breezy finish. Just a delicious Beaune that will give pleasure for several years.
