The 1997 Vigna del Feuda (3,000 cases of a blend of Primitivo, Montepulciano, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon) displays an international style because of its 100% new oak regime. With a tell-tale black currant and pain grille-scented nose, this full-bodied wine does not yet reveal much complexity. It is a candidate for 10-15 years of cellaring.
