Notes of pear, peach and crisp green apple, complemented by hints of oatmeal, introduce Jobard's 2018 Meursault En Luraule, a medium to full-bodied, supple and satiny wine that's crisply fleshy, with lively underlying acids lending definition to its generous core of fruit.

Offering up aromas of pear, fresh peach, citrus oil and nutmeg, the 2017 Meursault En Luraule is medium to full-bodied, satiny and textural, with lively acids and chalky structuring dry extract, concluding with a saline finish. This is one of the more youthfully demonstrative wines in the Jobard cellar.

The 2014 Meursault en Luraule comes from vines just on the other side of the road from La Goutte d'Or. The nose is more expressive and suggests more complexity than the "Sous la Velle." There is fine mineralité here with fresh lime and a hint of fresh green olive. The palate is well balanced with a smooth and harmonious opening, the oak needing more time to fully enmesh, but there is certainly good substance here -- even if it needs to evolve more persistence on the finish. I think it will do that by the end of its élevage.

The 2013 Meursault en Luraule that comes from vines opposite La Goutte d’Or, has a composed bouquet that is more pure and perfumed than the Sous la Velle. The palate is crisp and harmonious with touches of candied orange peel coming through toward the citric finish. There is a fine energy to this Meursault, and it should drink well after bottling.
