The 2006 Sangiovese Palazzo Altesi is just plain delicious in this vintage. This refined wine reveals hints of licorice, herbs and tobacco that complement an expressive core of fruit. The finish is long and harmonious. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2016. This a beautiful set of wines from Altesino, a historic producer that in recent years has made noticeable strides to improve quality.
