The 2014 Pommard les Riottes, which comes from a parcel next to Chateau de Pommard, has quite a high-toned bouquet with candied red cherry fruit that is nicely defined. The palate is fleshy and ripe, slightly saline on the entry with good depth, the texture a touch chewy and rustic towards the finish but with fine density. Probably one of the earlier-drinking Pommards.
