Medium amber-brick in color and a little closed on the nose with subtle notes of soy, Ceylon tea and menthol plus hints of hung meat and dried mulberries, the 1966 Hill of Grace is a generously fruited, medium to full-bodied wine with layers of savory and mincemeat flavors supported by refreshing acid and a medium level of grainy tannins before finishing long. It is mature now.
