The medium dark ruby-colored 2009 Chateauneuf du Pape exhibits lots of garrigue, lavender, pepper, spicy Provencal herb and kirsch notes. It is a classic, sexy/seductive, upfront Provencal wine to drink over the next 7-8 years. These wines (approximately 2,000 cases produced) are made from a blend of 65% Grenache, 20% Syrah and the rest Mourvedre and Cinsault aged primarily in stainless steel with the Syrah and Mourvedre spending time in smaller barrels and demi-muids.No known American importer.
