The flagship 2006 Cirsion offers up an alluring perfume of exotic spices, incense, lavender, earthy minerals, and blackberry. Already complex, this lengthy effort will continue to evolve for another 4-5 years and deliver prime drinking through 2026. Bodegas Roda is one of the quality leaders in Rioja. They have embarked on a couple of new projects, the first being the production of an entry-level Rioja named Sela. The second new Roda project is the development of two wines from Ribera del Duero made from 100% Tempranillo. Both 2009s were barrel samples but impressive nevertheless.
