A good year in Sauternes, but a rustic, woody wine for Yquem. Tastes of chestnut, but it's got interesting complexity, with lemon, spice, dark chocolate, mocha and dried apricot flavors. Tastes old, but hey, for a 158-year-old wine, it's holding up nicely, with fresh acidity and a long finish.--Yquem vertical. –PM
