The 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon Seven Hills Vineyard was aged in half American and half French oak barrels (30% new). Aromatically it reveals spiced corn and cherry aromas. This full-bodied, deep, thick wine is rich, chewy-textured, and crammed with gorgeously ripe blackberries and cassis. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.
Owned by the Hendricks and McClellan families, the winery takes its name from one of the finest vineyards in Walla Walla. The Seven Hills vineyard (I spent considerable time walking this site and was unable to find the seven hills) is, ironically, primarily located in Oregon (yes, Washington State's most famous wine, Leonetti's Seven Hills Cabernet Sauvignon, is produced from Oregon grapes!).
