The 2011 Blanc is a blend of Garnacha Blanca and Macabeu. It has a pleasant, almost Semillon-like bouquet that is waxy with fine delineation. The palate is rounded and generous on the entry with nectarine, lime and spices, although the finish would benefit from a little more cohesion. Drink now-2014. (made from a blend of garnatxa blanca, garnatxa roja, macabeu and pansal, raised in French oak barriques): Light yellow. Dried lemon and pear skin aromas are complemented by notes of beeswax, jasmine and chalky minerals. Dry and focused, with penetrating citrus fruit and mineral flavors and a touch of anise. Finishes on a floral note, with very good clarity and bite.
