Nubiola is a trademarked name and not an official vineyard cru. The Pelissero 2016 Barbaresco Nubiola shows rich layers of dark fruit, spice, tar and pressed lilac. There is extra padding and fruit weight in this expression that comes from a sunny but classic vintage. The wine passes smoothly over the palate with integrated and a slightly dusty or dry quality to the tannins. This is a good near or medium-term Barbaresco.
