The 2010 Perlato del Bosco delivers a radically different tasting profile next to 2011. Instead of feminine elegance, this wine shows muscle and brawn. It opens with a darkly concentrated appearance and a broad, wide-reaching bouquet with impressive complexity and elegance. Blackberry, cherry pie, polished river stone, leather and tobacco all play supporting roles. It feels tight and focused in the mouth with a long, fruit-forward finish. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024.
Stefano Frascolla and Tua Rita have almost single-handedly put Suvereto on Italy’s winemaking map. His latest releases are nothing short of spectacular.
