The 2015 Morellino di Scansano Riserva represents a selection of the best fruit from this estate's 50 hectares of Sangiovese vineyards, plus 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. It shows firm structure, with dark fruit and black plum instead of the red fruit you get from the base Morellino. You also get nice earthy tones of moist potting soils and forest floor. This is a beautiful presentation, of which 60,000 bottles were made. It's another excellent value from this part of Tuscany.
