The ruby-colored 2000 Pommard Les Jarollieres reveals muddled aromatics and flavors of red and black fruits. An appealing wine for near-term drinking, it offers loads of lush, unfocused fruit in a soft, easy-going style. Drink it over the next 2-3 years. While I haven't been enamored with the wines of La Pousse d'Or since its new ownership took over a few years ago, proprietor Patrick Landanger is making strides to return this estate to its former glory.
