Giovanna Ciacci’s 2009 Brunello di Montalcino impresses with its dark garnet color and its loaded fruit concentration. The aromas show signs of immediate evolution with dried fruit and bramble but the wine does a lovely job of framing more delicate nuances of smoke, licorice and crushed granite as well.
