Earth, flowers, and minerals can be found in the nose of the 2001 Riesling Kabinett Wehlener Sonnenuhr. This excellent value is vivacious, rich, broad, and gorgeously delineated. Intense flavors of lemon/lime-soaked minerals are detected in its refined core of fruit. Drink it over the next 5 years. On a side note, subscribers who, like me, purchased Kerpen's 1990s are advised to drink them sooner rather than later.
