The 2004 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett offers a vivid and bright expression of this site, with very pure but primary aromas and flavors of fresh apple, lemon, vanilla, and wet stones. There is admirable penetration and length, as well as plenty of stamina, and what it lacks in charm or complexity now it may make up in time.
