Displaying a lovely nose of stones and toasted hazelnuts, the Meursault Les Clous possesses an excellent, medium-bodied and super-focused flavor profile filled with tantalizing anise and stone-like flavors. Complex and magnificently balanced, this wine may ultimately deserve a higher rating. Anticipated maturity: 1999-2004. What's Javillier's spin on the 1996 vintage? "It has the most perfect balance between body, acid, fruit, extract, and purity in my lifetime." All the "regular cuvees" were bottled in September, 1997.
