Gorgeous, open aromatics lead to layers of silky-textured, opulent fruit in the 2004 Barolo Vigneto Rocche. A multitude of roses, flowers, black cherries and spices flow as this vibrant, pure Barolo blossoms on the palate with superb depth and definition. The only thing it needs is a few more years in the bottle. I would love to see if the 2004 Rocche might one day rival the legendary 1990. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024.
