The 2014 Barolo Brunate (with 10,000 bottles made) is a more robust and gutsy wine next to Francesco Rinaldi & Figli's Cannubi expression. The Brunate offers bolder fruit intensity, coupled with more prominent oak tones of spice, smoke and campfire ash. But like the other new releases from this estate, the wine finishes on a dry, astringent note that will probably never fully integrate even with extended cellar aging.
