The Puligny-Montrachet Champs-Canet has a rich floral and honeyed nose as well as a wide, ripe, medium-to-full-bodied, and mouth-coating personality. Flavors of orange peel, white flowers, stones, and poached pears can be found in this long and delicious wine. Drink it between 1999 and 2004.
The score, noted on a range and in parentheses, indicates that the wine was tasted from barrel.
Readers need to search out these offerings as they offer superb values for outstanding white Burgundies. Congratulations to Jean-Pierre Latour for the great strides his wines have made in such a short time!
