The dark, powerful 1999 Barolo Prapo, with ample notes of anise, cinnamon, and vanilla on the nose, has great depth and volume, a large dimension and weight on the palate, much tar and licorice, and good intensity and length on the finish. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2020. No known American importer.
