Generally very highly regarded by other critics, I have enjoyed the 1976 Trotanoy, but it is now fully mature and showing signs of overripeness and a jammy, low acid character. Quite plummy, fat, even peppery, with a lovely lush structure, this is an exotic style of Trotanoy that is delicious, but lacks backbone and structure. Anticipated maturity: Now-may be in decline.
