Last Tasted 6/92
Tasting blind, I was hard-pressed to find any Pomerol character in this wine. It exhibits extremely high acidity, a mineral, wet stone-dominated nose, and tough, hard tannins in the finish. While it is medium-bodied, with good intensity and amazingly fresh fruit, its austerity and surprisingly high acid levels give the wine a compact, rough texture on the palate. I suspect the wine could benefit from more cellaring - as hard as that is to believe.
