This is not a wine for modern day oenologists. The color is mainly orange/rust with some ruby remaining. Noticeable volatile acidity blows off within several minutes. The sweet, plummy, cedary, roasted nut, and clove-scented nose is followed by a surprisingly sweet wine, with fine ripeness, and chewy glycerin. The well-balanced finish is long, authoritative, and generous. Although the feeble color suggests a degree of decrepitude, such is not the case. Last tasted 12/95
