There is just enough wood present to be noticeable, if by no means intrusive, and it serves as a background for the airy white flower and slightly riper orchard fruit aromas nuanced by hints of herbs and oak spice that merge into rich, full and powerful medium weight plus flavors that possess real size and muscle yet there is good freshness and punch on the complex, long and sappy finish. Like a number of examples of Morgeot in the 2007 vintage, this is more elegant than is typical.
