This well-made St.-Emilion offers up aromas of melted chocolate, toasty new oak, black cherries, licorice, and strawberries. The wine is medium-bodied, pure, well-balanced, and finely-etched. It possesses sweet tannin, adequate acidity, and a moderately long finish. One to three years of cellaring will be beneficial. Anticipated maturity: 2004-2016.
