The stunning 1998 Condrieu Clos Boucher comes from a steep hillside vineyard. This is an explosively rich, super-concentrated Condrieu with an unctuous texture and blockbuster aromatics. Eighty percent of the cuvee spends time in wood, but I could not detect any in either the aromas or flavors - it is that concentrated and intense. This wine may last longer than 1-2 years given its sensational concentration, but why risk it? Importer: Pressoir Deutz Winery, Inc., Arroyo Grande, CA.
