The 2000 Condrieu Clos Chanson is superficial, fruity and lush. It does not possess the minerality of the Coteau Chery, but is a very good effort. It lacks depth, as do many 2000 northern Rhones. Drink it over the next year. Perret's 2000 Condrieus are significantly lighter and less concentrated than his 1999s and 1998s, raising the specter of high yields, even for this meticulous, quality conscious grower/winemaker.Importer: A Christopher Cannan Selection, various American importers including Michael Skurnik, Syosset, NY; tel.
