Loads of spices, hazelnuts, and almonds burst from the glass of the 2003 Meursault Perrieres (white). Light to medium-bodied and oily-textured, it exhibits pears, apples, and anise flavors in its expressive character. Its finish, which starts out wonderfully, is tightened by a lemony acidity that Coche will most certainly attend to during elevage. Projected maturity: 2007-2014.
