The 2007 Barbera d’Alba is a joyous wine bursting with perfume-laced ripe red fruit. Drink this fresh, engaging Barbera over the next year or two. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2010. I can’t say enough good things about the wines of Hilberg-Pasquero, a small estate located in the Roero. While I have always enjoyed the wines, this set of releases is off the charts.
