The 2010 Barbera d'Alba is gorgeous in this vintage. It is a dark, fleshy wine graced with exquisite finesse and sheer class, especially at its level. Expressive floral notes wrap around the vibrant finish. This vinous Barbera is best enjoyed over the next 2-3 years. I had a hard time putting the glass down. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2014. I have tasted the Hilberg-Pasquero wines for years. Still, I was completely blown away by this lineup. These are some of the most pure, unadulterated wines readers will come across.
