A real sleeper and a brilliant wine from the oldest vines of the estate is the 2006 Rasteau Cuvee Prestige. This wine is clearly dominated by its Grenache, with notes of chocolate, kirsch, licorice, as well as pepper and spice. The wine has great fruit, full body, and a sumptuous texture. Totally irresistible, this wine should drink nicely for 7-8 years.
This classic estate, which is widely admired in southern France, has turned out a bevy of 2006s that are stronger than their 2005s.
