The saturated ruby/garnet-colored 2001 Pinot Noir Ashley’s Vineyard needs more time in the bottle. There are only 263 cases of this outstanding effort. Aromas of blueberries, black cherries, smoke, and forest floor are followed by a dense, medium to full-bodied Pinot Noir possessing impressive purity, subtle wood notes, and a tightly-knit personality with moderate tannin in the finish.
