Last Tasted 2/93
This wine's roasted, baked, cassis aroma is typical of the vintage. One of the few Mondavi Reserve Cabernets from the late seventies to reveal amber/rust hues at the edge, it is simple, straightforward, and chunky, with supple, jammy, ripe flavors. I would opt for drinking this monochromatic, straightforward wine over the next 5-7 years.
