Dark red cherries, crushed flowers, licorice and spices are some of the nuances that emerge from the 2008 Brunello di Montalcino. In this vintage, the estate’s Brunello lacks excitement, even if it is nicely balanced and gracious in the glass. This is a solid effort overall, but not at the level of previous recent vintages.
