The 2012 Barolo Fossati is an interesting and unexpected wine. The style is streamlined and tight, yet there is loads of power and intensity here nonetheless. In fact, the wine lasts longer than you might originally expect. There are layers of dark fruit and spice, but ultimately the wine ends on a drying note with dusty tannins.

A modern style, with notes of vanilla and spice shading cherry, berry, menthol and earth flavors. Elegant and taut, showing dense tannins on the firm finish.
