The powerful 2002 Richebourg explodes from the glass with wax-laden black cherries as well as spices. Big, broad, and brooding, it has exceptional depth and a superb, muscular underlying structure. Medium to full-bodied, it offers flavors reminiscent of black fruits intermingled with spicy roasted oak. This boldly flavorful wine should be drunk between 2009 and 2018. Note: This estate’s 2002s are not yet released. The above estimate is based on the prices of the 2001s, taking into account that the dollar has significantly dropped.Importers include: Martine’s Wines, Novato, CA; tel.
