The 1997 Condrieu Coteaux du Vernon, which was released several months ago, is a fabulous wine from a top-flight Condrieu vintage. It displays lots of definition, underlying minerality, and formidable length. It is one of the great wines made from this steeply terraced vineyard. Look for it to drink well for another 2 years.
