The 2000 Allende Blanco has a more resin-like bouquet with yellow plum, candle wax and spice. The palate is not quite as generous and rich as the 1999, but it is nicely balanced with the waxy, dried grapefruit-tinged finish. Drink now.
Commencing with the Allende Blanc, I was impressed by how well this ages. Predominantly Viura with a higher percentage of Malvasia in older vintages, it develops a fine waxy texture and almost dried Barsac-like personality.
