The 2005 Barolo is soft and floral in its expression of flowers, red raspberries and sweet spices. The wine possesses lovely balance in a feminine style, with soft tannins that frame the subtle finish. This medium-bodied, supple Barolo is an excellent choice for near-term drinking. Cascina Bongiovanni’s Barolo was made from vineyards in Castiglione Falletto, Serralunga and Monforte, and aged in neutral French oak barrels. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2015.
