Sumptuous and gourmand, like so many wines produced in this ripe and abundant vintage, Guillemot's 1959 Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Aux Serpentières offers up aromas of cherries, sweet berries, grilled squab and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, with a textural attack and a layered core of fruit, it's drinking beautifully today.
